How does the problem change if it is decided that it is okay to walk 2 blocks to get ice cream?
Change the game White Cells and Intruders (which you can play outdoors or in the gym) so that instead of just controlling the vertex that they occupy, the White Cells and/or the Intruders control the vertex that they occupy and all of its neighbors.
